Bacon Cheeseburgers with Pretzel Buns

Plate Side: Grill (ridges)
Griddler® Cooking Position: Open and flat
Ingrédients
- 1¼ teaspoons kosher salt, divided
- 24 ounces ground beef
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 6-8 slices thick cut bacon
- 2-4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Preparation
- Turn on the Cuisinart® Griddler and open to the flat position. Select Grill and set to 425°F and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and reserve.
- While the bacon is cooking, combine the ground beef, salt, and pepper, form the ground beef into 4 even-sized patties, 6 ounces each.
- Add the burgers to the bottom plate, put into the closed grill position and cook until desired doneness. (set the timer for 6 minutes)
- Top the burgers with the cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and serve.*You can also warm the buns on the grill plate after the burgers are done – remove the burgers and then put the buns on the hot grill plate, cut side down, for 1 minute to quickly warm.
