Steamed Summer Squash & Zucchini

Ingredients

  • 1 quart water
  • 1 pound summer squash and/or zucchini, trimmed and cut into ½-inch slices

Preparation

  1. Put the water into the cooking pot of the Multicooker fitted with the steaming rack and cover. Set the unit to steam for 6 minutes.*
  2. Once tone sounds, indicating unit is ready to steam, place the squash/zucchini slices in the rack and cover again.
  3. Carefully remove cover when tone sounds and time expires. Serve immediately.

*Cooking time is based on user preference. For slightly firmer vegetables, steam for about 5 minutes. For softer vegetables, steam for up to 8 minutes.
