Ingrédients
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups whole milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Preparation
- Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add the milk, oil, and egg to a large liquid measuring cup, and whisk to combine. Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients, and whisk until smooth.
- Preheat the waffle maker to desired shade setting. The waffle maker’s ready light will illuminate green to indicate it is ready to use.
- Once preheated, pour a scant cup of batter evenly over the center of the lower waffle grid. Spread the batter using a heatproof spatula to within ½ inch of the edge of the grid. Close the lid; the green indicator light will turn off. When the green indicator light turns on again, the waffle is ready. Open the lid and carefully remove the waffle sticks. Break apart into individual waffle sticks and serve immediately.
- Repeat with the remaining batter
