The Best Frozen Margaritas
Makes 4 Frozen Margaritas
Ingrédients
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 6 ounces golden tequila
- 3 ounces Triple Sec
- 4 ounces fresh lime juice
- 4 cups ice cubes
Preparation
- Place sugar and water in a Cuisinart® MultiClad 1-quart Windsor pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Transfer to a glass measuring cup and cool to use. (Makes about ⅓ cup of Simple Syrup. You may make larger batches and store in refrigerator in a covered jar. You will need ⅓ cup to make this recipe.)
- Place the Simple Syrup, tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, and ice cubes in your Cuisinart® Blender. Place cover on blender jar. Press On, Blend on High for 30 to 40 seconds until blended, smooth and slushy in texture. Turn blender off.
- Serve immediately in chilled Margarita glasses. (If desired rims of glasses may be rubbed with a wedge of lime and dipped in coarse salt.) Garnish with a thin slice of lime.
