Makes 4 Frozen Margaritas

Ingrédients

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 6 ounces golden tequila
  • 3 ounces Triple Sec
  • 4 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 4 cups ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Place sugar and water in a Cuisinart® MultiClad 1-quart Windsor pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Transfer to a glass measuring cup and cool to use. (Makes about ⅓ cup of Simple Syrup. You may make larger batches and store in refrigerator in a covered jar. You will need ⅓ cup to make this recipe.)
  2. Place the Simple Syrup, tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, and ice cubes in your Cuisinart® Blender. Place cover on blender jar. Press On, Blend on High for 30 to 40 seconds until blended, smooth and slushy in texture. Turn blender off.
  3. Serve immediately in chilled Margarita glasses. (If desired rims of glasses may be rubbed with a wedge of lime and dipped in coarse salt.) Garnish with a thin slice of lime.
