Ingredients

  • 1tablespoon olive oil, divided
  • 1pound Brussels sprouts, halved
  • lengthwise
  • 1medium red onion, halved
  • lengthwise with each half sliced
  • ½teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼teaspoon freshly ground black
  • pepper
  • 1tablespoon pure maple syrup

Preparation

  1. 1. Assemble the Cuisinart® Stack5® with
  2. the baking pan and select 400°F.
  3. Add 2 teaspoons of the olive oil to the
  4. pan.
  5. 2. Once the oil is hot, add the Brussels
  6. sprouts, cut side down. Cook, tossing
  7. occasionally after about 5 minutes.
  8. 3. Lower the temperature to 350°F and
  9. add the sliced onions with the salt
  10. and pepper and remaining oil. Cook
  11. for an additional 5 minutes, tossing
  12. occasionally and then cover.
  13. 4. Cook for about 10 minutes and
  14. occasionally stir until the sprouts are
  15. tender.
  16. 5. Once tender, finish with the maple syrup.
  17. Taste and adjust seasoning according to
  18. preference. Serve immediately.
