ICE-CREAM IN LESS THAN 60 MNUTES

Toronto, ON — Cuisinart, a leading producer of high-end culinary appliances and professional quality cookware, will introduce a new brushed stainless steel compressor ice cream maker to the Canadian marketplace in May 2005. The Supreme™ Commercial Quality Ice Cream Maker features a built in compressor which means no pre-freezing the bowl in advance!

“The simpler the better”, says Kristi McTaggart, Product Manager for Cuisinart Canada. “People are often intimated at the thought of making homemade ice cream, but this compressor ice cream maker takes all the guess work out of the process. Simply plug into the wall, add your ingredients, set your 60-minute timer and let the machine do the rest. The compressor works to freeze the ingredients, while the rotating paddle ensures a creamy, even consistency. Homemade ice cream has never been easier.”

The new Cuisinart Supreme™ Commercial Quality Ice Cream Maker, with its built in compressor, means you don’t have to plan ahead when making ice cream. The 1.5 quart bowl does not require any pre-freezing!

The machine features an opening at the top of the bowl, where ingredients can be added last minute, such as nuts or chocolate chips, to make the ‘ultimate’ ice cream. Kids can even add pieces of their favourite chocolate bar to the ice cream or small pieces of fruit to the frozen yogurt. When you make your own frozen treats, the possibilities are endless.

The recipe book includes amazing frozen desserts that are perfect for entertaining or for whenever the craving strikes. Recipes include Butter Pecan Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream, Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream, Raspberry Frozen Yogurt, Fresh Lemon Sorbet and so much more!
