FROZEN YOGURT- ICE CREAM & SORBET MAKER

Toronto, ON — Cuisinart, a leading producer of culinary appliances and professional quality cookware, will introduce a new brushed stainless steel frozen dessert maker in April 2005. The Pure Indulgence™ Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker has an extra large freezer bowl, enabling consumers to make 2 quarts (1.9L) of frozen treats such as ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, gelato, and frozen drinks, in a matter of minutes. Cuisinart’s new Pure Indulgence™ Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker comes with numerous tips and hints, allowing consumers to substitute the ingredients they want, to create a frozen treat that they’ll love to eat.

“As Canadians become more and more health conscious, they are looking for alternatives to store-bought treats”, says Kristi McTaggart, Product Manager for Cuisinart Canada. “Cuisinart’s new Pure Indulgence™ Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker allows them to custom tailor their ice cream to suit their lifestyle and eating habits. Whether they want low fat frozen yogurt or lactose-free ice cream, this product allows them to make the frozen treat of their choice with fresh, wholesome ingredients.”

The new Cuisinart® Pure Indulgence™ Frozen Yogurt-Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker is simple to use and takes approx. 30 minutes to make 2-quarts (1.9L) of delicious frozen desserts. Simply store the freezer bowl covered in a deep freezer for approx. 6-22 hours in advance. Assemble the machine and pour the liquid into the freezer bowl and turn the switch to the ON position. The mixing arm will stay in place as the freezer bowls continuously turns. This action, in conjunction with the double insulated freezer bowl, creates delicious results, every time. If the recipe calls for last minute additions, such as nuts, or chocolate chips, simply add them 5 minutes before the end of the cycle, by using the large opening in the cover. This way the machine will mix them evenly through the frozen treat. Fool-proof, delicious results... every time.

The elegant brushed stainless steel exterior makes this machine something to display on your countertop. You can use it to make mouth-watering sundaes for the kids or to make drinks or desserts for your summer patio party. Just store your freezer bowls in the freezer all the time, so you can make your own treats whenever the craving strikes. Never settle for store bought ice cream again.
