Vancouver Couple Win A Honeymoon In Paradise

Cuisinart Canada and The Bay are pleased to announce the winners of the Cuisinart Honeymoon Spa Sweepstakes, Vancouverites Tanya and Michael Tuckey.

The Cuisinart Honeymoon Spa Sweepstakes, which ran at the Bay Gift Registry service departments nationwide from November 1, 2001 to November 29, 2002, invited couples that registered for Cuisinart products to enter to win a honeymoon at the ultra luxurious CuisinArt Resort & Spa in Anguilla, British West Indies.

Tanya, a student at the University of British Columbia and Michael, an accountant, were married on June 29, 2002, in Victoria, BC. They have won a honeymoon in paradise worth approximately $10,000 Cdn.

“I couldn’t believe it when I got the phone call,” said Tanya Tuckey. “We spent the next few days glued to our computer, checking out Anguilla and the CuisinArt Resort, getting more and more excited with every picture we saw.“

The couple was drawn from nearly 3,000 entries, most of which came from Alberta and British Columbia.

“The interest in the contest was incredible, especially from the West Coast,” commented Beverley Melnick, Director of Marketing for Cuisinart, Conair Consumer Products Inc. “And we couldn’t be happier to be awarding the honeymoon to a young couple just starting their lives together.”

Tanya and Michael will be enjoying the CuisinArt Resort & Spa in Anguilla from June 19 through 26, 2003. Their grand prize package includes return airfare, seven nights accommodation in a junior suite, four 50-minute spa treatments, one snorkel excursion, a Caribbean lobster barbeque, lunch at the world-famous Hydroponic Café, $1,500 in spending money, and much more.

“What an amazing way to celebrate our first anniversary,” exclaimed Michael Tuckey.
