Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent machine We've used our "Brew Central" for over a year now and found it to work consistently well. Relatively easy to clean although a bit awkward if you had not placed the pot properly and grinds end up in the reservoir but that's not the fault of the machine but the operator. We use the timer function as well as the brew on demand usualy with fresh ground beans and we use it every day.

Should the clock display have a back light feature? Very hard to read. The brewer works great but I am wondering if I should return it because of this?

Does this require the use if paper filters, or is the gold filter all we need to use?

Asked by: Greg
Hello there Greg, Paper filters vs. the gold tone filter is totally your preference. One thing to be aware of is that the gold tone filter may allow a small amount of very fine coffee grounds (sediment) into the carafe while brewing. This is completely normal. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to let us know! Best wishes, -Cuisinart Canada

Does the 14-Cup coffeemaker require a paper filter?  Can the filter basket not be used as the filter?  If paper filters must be used - where can they be purchased?
