Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot coffee - short lived product. We were happy when we purchased this product as the end result was a good hot cup of coffee. We bought three others as Christmas gifts for our children. All four have been in for repair, in some cases multiple times. Customer service were very helpful and repaired or replaced the coffee makers, however it necessitated a long trip each time to reach the Cuisinart facility. We have a stand-by $35.00 coffee maker which never breaks down. Although the coffee is not quite as hot, the appliance is totally dependable unlike the Cuisinart. Our current replacement Cuisinart has just broken down again and although it is still under warranty, we are opting to search and purchase another brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hoping 3rd time lucky This is the 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker I have bought in the last 5 years....all the same make and model #. I like that it brews quickly, produces good coffee and keeps it hot. Unfortunately paying over a $100 very 1 1/2 to 2 years to replace a dead coffee maker not suggest good value for money. Repair is not available that I know of in my area! So this will be the last Cuisinart coffee maker I will be buying....unless this 3rd one can go the distance. Love the coffeemaker when it works........but very disappointed with the apparent poor quality from a company that has what I thought was reputed to produce good quality products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We've had this coffee maker for 7+ years and brewed a couple thousand pots of coffee with it. Over the past few months the auto-off feature stopped working (can't start brewing while the dial is on auto-off) and the self clean light started coming on (followed instructions to clean but the light returned after a few days). Looks like it's on the way out and I'm worried about accidentally leaving it on now that auto-off isn't functioning. We're so happy with our experience with this coffee maker that I'm deciding between purchasing the exact same model again or a very similar Cuisinart model. Great coffee maker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's worked for 10 years without a hiccup!! This has been part of the family since 2004 and keeps going strong. Speed time to brew and temp is always great. We pass the updated version at Costco all the time but never need to upgrade. Plus seeing the model in certain sitcoms makes us laugh.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't Work I bought the DCC-1400C yesterday, read the manual, set the clock, and planned to try out my new coffee maker. I needed a flash light to see the display panel, the LED clock light did not work, then realized nothing worked. Took it back to Canadian Tire today and tried another coffee maker, same model...and same problem! I ended up having to buy a cheaper product, but really would have liked to own a Cuisinart, or so I thought!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coffee maker! We've had this coffee maker for approximate 10 years. We've had a good many cups of hot, delicious coffee from it. Sadly, after a few days of quirky behaviour, today it died. We know so many people that have had this coffee maker for years as well. I would definitely recommend it.

Hello, when I brew 12 cups of coffee I find that 3.5 cups of water remain in the filter, after the beep no further coffee streams. I have to press the nozzle where the coffee streams up to release the rest of the coffee into the carafe.

 My coffee maker inexplicably shuts down in the middle of a brew cycle with the settings returning to default requiring me to switch the coffee maker back on to get the red light on to continue brewing.

What are the differences between the DCC-1200 model and the 1200 MR model??

I've had this coffee maker for a couple of years, never had any problems or issues with it until today. The lights were on, but that's about it, nothing happened. Changed the filter but that didn't help. Is there something else I could try?

After brewing a pot of coffee, it automatically turns off. Why? All of my previous coffee makers stayed on for about 30min - 1hour after brewing and this one costs twice as much as my previous coffee maker and won't?

Hello Hank, Great question. Please make sure that the dial that says "auto-off" is set to "brew". If the dial is set to "auto-off" the Coffee Machine will automatically turn off.
