In trying to scrape the off the icecream some of the coating on the bottom of the bowl has come off. Is the bowl still safe to use or should it be replaced?

Asked by: DCAP
Dear DCAP, Thank you for reaching out to us. It is not recommended to use if the non-stick coating has come off. Sincerely, -Cuisinart Canada

THe middle scraper doesn't seem to be contacting the bowl. I tried making a batch and had to keep a spatula against the bowl to scrap the ice cream that was starting to form. half the ice cream is super solid i can't even remove it. is it broken?

My husband just gave me this ice cream maker for my birthday. It seems awfully large to make ice-cream for just two people. Can the recipes be cut in half or even a quarter so the yield is fewer servings?

Asked by: birthday girl
Hello birthday girl, Yes, you can cut the recipes in half or as an alternative you can also wrap any leftovers with parchment paper and place it in the freezer. We hope this helps! Cuisinart Canada

why is there a layer about 1/8 in frozen to the bottom of the canister which is not possible to remove until it is thawed? is there something I can do differently?

Asked by: dilaur
Hello there dilaur, Due to the freezing of the bowl, a layer may sometimes form. This is normal behaviour. We would suggest running your scoop or the bowl under hot water to thaw and release that layer. We hope that helps. Best wishes, -Cuisinart Canada

Is it possible to use thawed frozen fruit to make the ice-cream instead of fresh fruit?  If so do I need to modify the recipe?

Asked by: kberly
Hello Kberly, You should be able to use thawed frozen fruit just as you would fresh fruit. Hope this helps! Cuisinart Canada
