    Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8 years and going I bought this 8 years ago and it is still working (although it is starting to show its age). It goes a great job. It never burns the coffee. The only down side is that it requires a bit more grounds than a drip coffee pot.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience Went through three drip coffee machines in 8 years and decided to try the percolator. Love it. Very quick so not being on a timer isn't a problem. Usually brew 8 cups (for two people) and after pouring the first cup I pour the remainder into a thermos because the coffee cools more quickly in the pot. You need to use a course grind (French Grind) to avoid grinds in your cup. I takes a little more time to clean than a regular drip machine, but it looks great, the coffee tastes wonderful, and the percolator sound reminds me of the pleasant past. Won't know how durable it is for awhile, but so far so good! P.S. Be sure to uplug it when done.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped Working?! Help.... I love this coffee machine! But...it just stopped working this morning. Do I need to replace the base element? I did notice yesterday that it was not as hot as usual. I do not want to go back to my drip machine....please help!!!

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Pot I have been using this pot for 6 months. It is easy to use and to clean. It brews quickly and once the brew cycle has finished it keeps your coffee hot but not too hot so it doesn' get that terrible burnt taste that a lot of coffee makers do. Once in awhile you get a few grounds in the pot. If you use the right grind it is not a problem what little gets through is usually found in the last cup at the bottom of the pot. If this bothers you maybe you should just drink water. Great machine it does what it is supposed to do!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good coffee, fast Makes good coffee quickly, and when you need more, it makes more good coffee quickly. 18 months of steady use, but it looks like we now need to replace the base unit. We use Melitta 3.5" disc filters (Melitta customer service ships cheaply) allowing us to use any fine grind coffee.

    Black base has come away from pot, screws sockets broke

    Can the base remain plugged in at all times? Apparently there is no auto-shut off, so when not in use could I simply keep the base plugged in and leave the pot off of the base? Is there any hazard to keeping it plugged in when not in use? Thank you.
