Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Unit We have had a Cuisinart Burr Grinder for two years and love it and love the coffee we make with our AeroPress coffee maker. Both are so convenient and simple and no $.50 to $.80 per cup costs like some of our new fangled ways of making coffee.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not working out of the box I thought that these appliances were factory tested, and would work out of the box. My unit was just not working, having a problem that many users stated, and if I'm suggested to bring it back to the store, not sure I will replace with same product or brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible after one year I bought this grinder for my wife, and for the first six months it worked well. Very loud (not so great), but made good tasting coffee. After six months, it the amount of coffee getting ground began to diminish. So now, 30 seconds of grinding produces about two scoops of coffee. Grinding enough for an 8-cup pot takes several minutes, while persevering jet plane decibel levels. We've gone back to using our 25-year old Braun. The cuisinart is heading to the electronics recycle heap. And I did follow all the cleaning instructions.

I have the same problem that many report, but grinder was brand new, out of the box: Display is blinking, grind selector changes, but no grinding at all. Beside returning it to the store, what else customer service can help me with?

This is a followup to my previous question. The problem with the display has worsened, and the buttons do not work reliably. How can I access the display electronics, or bypass it and use my own switch to control the unit?

I have just switched to single wall espresso filters and have found that even the ultra-fine grind size (1) on this machine is too large to make espresso. Do I have a dud or will this machine not make true espresso grind - fine sugar vs. coarse salt?

    Asked by: mtb_ab
Hi mtb_ab, This machine should be able to make espresso grind when setting "1" is selected. If you continue to have difficulty grinding for espresso, please give our toll free number (1-800-472-7606) and a customer service representative will be happy to help guide you through this process. Did a standard clean ( removable grinder burr and ejection port to ground coffee container) before reporting this problem. Any specific location to clean?

    Asked by: ArtO
Hi ArtO, Thanks for reaching out to us! Below we outlined a small guideline to help you during your cleaning: - Beans can be removed from the hopper by lifting off the lid and pouring excess beans out. Hold down the Manual button to cleanoutany remaining beans. - All removable parts can be washed by hand with hot, soapy water or placed in the top shelf of a dishwasher. Be sure to dry thoroughly. Remove the bean hopper by rotating counter-clockwise bringing the selector past grind setting 18, align the arrows and lift up. - Make sure the hopper is empty. - Remove grind chamber by pulling toward you. - Remove the burr grinder, once the bean hopper has been removed, by grasping the metal handle and lifting up. If you have any other questions, feel free to call our toll free customer service line at 1-800-472-7606 for more assistance. Best Regards, CSR

Is there any way of reducing/eliminating all the static electricity created by the grinding?  When you open the vessel containing the grounds or pour them out, they fly all over the place and some tend to stay stuck to the sides.

    Asked by: The Reg
Hi The Reg, Thank you for reaching out to us. Static electricity can be reduced/eliminated by waiting 15-30 seconds after grinding and gently tapping the sides of the grind chamber. Best Regards, CSR
